About IwateKogen Snow Park
IwateKogen Snow Park is in a great location, just one hour by car from Morioka City. Morioka Station is easy to reach by Shinkansen from Tokyo.
The resort is very popular for its excellent powder snow. With our gondola lift, you can enjoy great, long, scenic runs from the top.
You can easily access the resort from Morioka Station using our FREE shuttle bus or a rental car. It is the perfect place to enjoy both skiing and sightseeing in Morioka City.

Instructor
Hiromasa Tanaka
I’m a ski instructor at DIRECTLINE Ski School, which is located at the IwateKogen Snow Park.
I started skiing in college and fell in love with the sport.
After graduating, I earned a Ph.D. from the same university and later worked at several research institutes and universities in Japan and the U.S.
While I enjoyed my research career, I decided to move to a mountainous area. I felt a strong connection with this ski school’s philosophy, which led me to become an instructor here.
My goal is to teach skiing in a way that is safe, enjoyable, and fun for everyone.
